Sometimes we face different problems in term of video standards such as PAL, NTSC, and SECAM. These two standards that I mention before are the standards of encoding of colored television signals into a single wire. PAL standard is commonly used in some big countries like United Kingdom, Australia, China and also even in some small countries like Singapore, Hong Kong, and Papua New Guinea. In this countries PAL is the standard that are being used. In some other countries like USA, Japan and South Korea, instead of PAL, they use NTSC.
The conflict in using of different standards in many countries give some television users a trouble in watching TV / DVD / Satellite videos due to difference in term of standards. Because of this, video converters are made for this kind of problems. Video converters have the function of video converting that lets you convert NTSC to PAL or PAL to NTSC. With the use of video converter, users can watch PAL TV / DVD / Satellite videos on a NTSC television or capture videos from PAL system into a NTSC video recorder or the other way around. Some of high quality video converters have other functions aside from those that I mentioned before. Some of these video converters are purposely made to do some other task or as a solution to some of our other problem that regards to video standards. One example of these problems are the video or gaming consoles like PlayStaion2, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii that are made for foreign use. Video converter is a solution into this problem. You'll be able to run your video or gaming consoles properly using video converters.
Video converters have a lot of useful functions that help us solve our problems. It is a good solution yet so easy to use. All you have to do is to select what kind of system output you want for your television or recorder and you'll have both color and field rate conversion then you can just relax and enjoy watching or recording foreign videos from all over the world on your local TV sets.
